A ritual for Inner Peace
Step 1: Center Yourself
- Open your windows/doors to allow for ventiliation and the movement of energy in the space around you.
- Find a quiet, comfortable spot where you won’t be disturbed and can be fully present.
- Sit in a relaxed, yet upright position, either on the floor or in a chair.
- Hold your Serae Sage bundle at a 45-degree angle in front of your chest. Light the bundle, allowing the flame to burn for around 20 seconds, then gently blow it out so that the sage begins to smolder and release smoke. As the smoke rises, visualise it taking the shape of an "S," representing the natural flow of your breath and energy throughout your meditation.
- Take a few deep breaths, inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.
- Place your sage bundle in a heat resistant bowl
Step 2: Breathe & Connect
- Close your eyes and take a moment to centre yourself.
- Slowly Inhale: Visualise the breath entering your body, starting at your feet and rising through your spine in a gentle, curving "S" path. Exhale: Imagine the breath flowing back down the same "S" shape, releasing any tension or mental blockages. This movement helps guide you breathe in a rhythmic, balanced pattern, promoting calm and clarity.
- Focus on your Key Energy Points and with each breath,imagine the "S" gently removing any tension, replacing it with balance and light.
- Root Chakra: Picture the "S" gently sweeping through the base of your spine, grounding and stabilising your energy.
- Sacral Chakra: Imagine the "S" flowing through your lower abdomen, enhancing creativity and emotional flow.
- Heart Chakra: Visualise the "S" opening your heart, allowing love and compassion to flow freely.
- Crown Chakra: Picture the "S" connecting you to higher awareness and inner peace.
- Repeat this breathing pattern 3-5 times, focusing on the sensation of the smoke and your breath. Continue your meditation practice if needed.
Step 3: Meditation & Reflection
- As you near the end of your meditation, visualise the "S" shape expanding beyond your body, sweeping through your entire energy field. Picture this "S" gently combing through your mind, heart, and body, removing any lingering negativity or heaviness.
Feel your energy becoming clear, balanced, and protected - Pick up the sage bundle and make an ‘S’ motion to seal your renewal. Place back into bowl
- Observe the smoke rising from the sage over 3 deep breaths and after a few moments of stillness, open your eyes slowly. Take a deep breath and offer gratitude for the peace and clarity the meditation has brought.
- Extinguish the sage bundle and place it in a safe location.
